Các bạn giúp mình từ "Independent City", ngoài nghĩa dịch sát là "Thành phố độc lập" (theo nguồn wiki) thì các bạn có ý kiến thêm về từ này không?

An independent city or independent town is a city or town that does not form part of another general-purpose local government entity (such as a county).

Cảm ơn thông tin của J. Mình đồng ý với ý kiến của J.
Mình xin phép được trích một định nghĩa nhỏ về "Independent City" của "http://familypedia.wikia.com/wiki/Independent_city", như sau:
"In the Commonwealth of Virginia, all municipalities incorporated as "cities" have also been "independent cities," also called "free cities," since 1871."
Vậy là: "Independent city" có thể được hiểu là "Municipality" ~ thành phố tự trị/đô thị tự trị
Căn bản vì Virginia không đơn thuần là một Bang/State của Mỹ, nó thường được gọi là Khu thịnh vượng Virginia/the Commonwealth of Virginia, nó nhiều "Independent city" thay vì là Hạt/County.

dùng từ "tự trị" thì quen thuộc hơn với ngôn ngữ hiện nay, còn "độc lập" thi người ta thường dùng với một quốc gia

Mọi người ơi, mình đang dịch phim Smash, nội dung nói về quá trình sản xuất 1 vở nhạc kịch tại Broadway. Có điều là mình không biết nên dịch tên phim thế nào? "Bom tấn" thì lại lẫn với "Bombshell", vở nhạc kịch trong phim.

tên phim thì đặt đại cũng được, đâu cần theo tên tiếng Anh
miễn nói lên được nội dung phim
