Warner Bros. Animation vừa công bố dàn diễn viên lồng tiếng cho The Dark Knight Returns, phim hoạt hình dựa trên bộ graphic novel kinh điển cùng tên xuất bản năm 1986 của Frank Miller (300, Sin City).
2 vai chính do Peter Weller (Robocop) lồng tiếng Batman/Bruce Wayne và Ariel Winter (Modern Family) vai Robin. Ngoài ra có Wade Williams (Prison Break) vai Harvey Dent/Two-Face, David Selby (Dark Shadows) vai Falcon Crest, Michael McKean vai Dr. Wolper.
Phim được đạo diễn bởi Jay Oliva (người storyboard cho Man of Steel và 300: Battle of Artemisia sắp tới). Phim chia làm 2 phần, Part 1 sẽ được phát hành mùa thu năm nay còn Part 2 sẽ ra mắt đầu năm 2013.
* Nói về bộ graphic novel:
- IGN xếp The Dark Knight Returns thứ 2 trong top 25 greatest Batman graphic novel
- Tạp chí Time bình chọn nó trong top 10 best English language graphic novels ever written
- Truyện cũng có trong top 50 Best Of The Best Graphic Novels của Forbidden Planet (1 hãng sách lớn)
- sequel của truyện là The Dark Knight Strikes Again dù nhận nhiều đánh giá khen chê lẫn lộn nhưng lúc ra mắt ngay lập tức thành bộ truyện bán chạy nhất thời điểm đó
