Nội dung: Với nội dung mang đầy ý nghĩa về tình yêu và cuộc sống bộ phim nói về Pat (Bradley Cooper) một chàng trai luôn luôn suy nghĩ tích cực về cuộc sống - nhưng thật trớ trêu, sau một sự cố, anh phải nhập viện tâm thần và người vợ của anh cũng đi theo người đàn ông khác, anh không nản chí, trong thời gian nằm viện - anh viết một cuốn sách tên là “Every cloud has a silver lining” và xuất bản nó sau khi anh ra khỏi giường bệnh. Quyết định làm lại cuộc đời, anh chuyển về sống với ba mẹ để mong tìm lại được người vợ và sống một cuộc sống như mình mong đợi. Thế nhưng mọi chuyện lại chuyển hướng xấu dần cho tới khi anh gặp được Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) - một người phụ nữ trẻ đẹp cũng gặp những bất trắc trong cuộc sống như anh.
