Kumonosu-jou là một bộ phim phát hành vào năm 1957 của đạo diễn người Nhật Kurosawa Akira. Kết hợp với những yếu tố của kịch Noh, đạo diễn K. Akira đă thành công khi đưa vở kịch Macbeth của W. Shakespeare vào bối cảnh Nhật Bản thời phong kiến. Tướng quân Washizu Taketoki t́nh cờ gặp được một hồn ma. Hồn ma đă dự đoán cuộc đời ông cuối cùng sẽ trở thành một lănh chúa quyền lực, thay thế vị lănh chúa hiện tại. Để lời tiên tri thành hiện thực, ông cùng người vợ quyết định soán ngôi bằng cách giết vị lănh chúa hiện tại. Washizu đạt được mục đích, nhưng ông cũng đă tự ấn định sự sụp đổ của ḿnh.
