Wild Asia: A Forest for All Seasons (2010)
The far northern regions of Asia are dominated by long, bitter winters. To the south, in contrast, tropical Asia is dominated by continual heat and humidity. And between these 2 extremes lies a different world. Stretching from the foothills of the Himalaya in the west to the islands of Japan in the east, Asia's temperate forests are home to plants and creatures that have to find a way of living with both extremes - heat and cold - adapting their lives to the 4 seasons.
This documentary examines the temperate forests of Asia, and shows how the various species who live there adapt in order to survive the various extremes in the seasons that happen in this unique region.
