Thực sự th́ ḿnh thấy đọc Ender's Game vẫn là một trải nghiệm thú vị hơn xem phim. Phim không thể hiện được sự cô độc của Ender như trong tiểu thuyết. Thằng bé nhỏ tuổi, c̣i cọc nhất trường (nhỏ hơn ít nhất là 2 tuổi so với các đứa khác, nhưng trong phim th́ sự khác biệt về tuổi không rơ ràng cho lắm, và thậm chí nhiều đứa c̣n nhỏ con hơn Ender
), đă thế lại c̣n bị giáo viên khen (đểu) là "thông minh nhất, hơn tất cả các cô cậu", th́ sẽ khó kết bạn đến mức nào, và khi vừa có được một người bạn thực sự th́ lại bị chuyển sang đội khác, các giáo viên dùng đủ mọi tṛ để cô lập Ender, biến bạn thành thù. Trừ thử thách cuối cùng tất cả bạn bè của Ender được cùng tập hợp lại để chiến đấu th́ suốt mấy năm trời cậu bé chỉ có bản thân ḿnh (trong phim th́ Ender lớn tuổi hơn trong truyện, và quá tŕnh huấn luyện dường như cũng quá nhanh chóng, có lẽ chỉ vài tháng thôi). Và tất nhiên phim không thể cho thấy rơ ràng tâm lư nhân vật được như truyện, cũng như mục đích từng hành động của các nhân vật. Tuy nhiên với thời lượng chưa đầy 2 tiếng th́ cũng khó có thể trách đạo diễn Gavin Hood được. Căn bản là phim toàn trẻ con là nhân vật chính nên đối tượng marketing chắc cũng là thanh thiếu niên thôi, khó mà làm dài quá được. Truyện th́ xuất bản từ gần 3 chục năm trước rồi, không có fanbase hùng hậu như mấy bộ mới ra bây giờ. Và cuối cùng th́ kết quả là phim vẫn thất bại thảm hại về doanh thu 
Nói th́ nói thế nhưng ḿnh vẫn thích phim này (chắc là 1 trong 10 phim ḿnh thích nhất năm ngoái), thích khoản costume design của Christine Bieselin (300, Watchmen, Tron Legacy), nhạc phim của Steve Jablonsky (Transformers), thích kỹ xảo của phim, các đoạn phi thuyền chiến đấu ngoài vũ trụ th́ đẹp hơn hẳn những ǵ ḿnh có thể tưởng tượng
có điều cái Mind Game sao không làm giống thật cơ chứ, simulation làm giống thật (mà đúng là thật 
) mà game th́ nh́n rơ là hoạt h́nh.
mà đm đoạn kết của truyện là Ender cùng Valentine lên tàu đi t́m hành tinh mới cho Queen sống cơ mà, sao lên phim lại là mỗi ḿnh Ender đi wtf?!?

Xem phim tếu nhất cái đoạn thằng nhóc đại ca nó cứ nhao nhao lên đ̣i đánh Ender. Thấy bố này... ngu văi luyện v́ nó loắt choắt, nhỏ hơn Ender cả cái đầu mà cứ đ̣i solo.

Thấy lúc bố đó vào nhà vệ sinh với Ender lại thấy hơi... tội tội cho nó
. Kiểu như đéo muốn đánh đâu, nhưng lỡ làm đại ca rồi nên phải vào solo.
