Jane Foster và Thor, phim Thor
Sif và Warriors Three càng lúc càng nghi ngờ Loki, nên họ thông đồng với Heimdall mở Bifrost để tới Trái đất đón Thor về. Heimdall ngay sau đó bị Loki dùng Casket of Ancient Winters đóng băng. Loki cử bộ giáp Destroyer xuống sát hại Thor. Người của S.H.I.E.L.D. tiếp cận Destroyer ngay khi nó vừa tới Trái đất, nhưng bị đánh tan tác.
Nhóm của Sif t́m thấy Thor, ngay sau đó họ phải đối đầu với Destroyer. Nhận thấy không thể đánh bại Destroyer, Thor tự nộp ḿnh để người vô tội không phải mất mạng. Sự hy sinh của Thor khiến anh trở nên “xứng đáng” với Mjolnir, và nó bay thẳng tới tay anh. Phục hồi toàn bộ năng lực, Thor đă trở lại với quyền uy của một vị thần sấm sét.
Thor dễ dàng đánh bại Destroyer. Sau đó anh chia tay Jane Foster rồi cùng nhóm của ḿnh định trở về Asgard, thế nhưng họ vẫn phải chờ đầu cầu Bifrost bên kia mở ra.

Lúc này ở Asgard, Loki đưa Laufey vào pḥng của Odin nhưng lại phản bội, sát hại chính Laufey. Hắn muốn dựng chuyện để ḿnh được xem như người anh hùng của Asgard.
Điều Loki không ngờ tới là Heimdall đă thoát khỏi tảng băng và dù sức tàn lực kiệt, anh ta vẫn kịp mở cầu Bifrost cho nhóm của Thor về.
Loki mở cầu Bifrost hướng vào Jotunheim, hy vọng dùng sức mạnh của nó để hủy diệt Jotunheim. Thor chiến đấu ác liệt với Loki, nhưng anh không thể đóng cây cầu lại.
Thor đành phải phá vỡ cầu Bifrost để cứu Jotunheim khỏi diệt vong. Odin tỉnh dậy và kịp giữ Thor và Loki không rớt vào vực thẳm tạo ra do sự phá vỡ cây cầu, nhưng Loki đă tự buông tay ra. Sau sự kiện này, Thor nói rằng anh chưa sẵn sàng làm vua.
Trong những tháng ngày sau đó, sự phá vỡ cây cầu đă gây ra hỗn loạn khắp chín cơi giới. V́ Asgard đă bị chia cắt và không thể tới các cơi giới khác để bảo vệ, nhiều cuộc chiến tranh đă nổ ra. Vanaheim, quê nhà của Hogun bị một bọn cướp bóc (Marauders) tàn phá. Hai tập Thor: The Dark World Prelude kể về t́nh h́nh của chín cơi giới sau khi Bifrost bị phá. Ở Trái đất, Jane Foster nghiên cứu cách mở lại cầu Bifrost nhưng không có kết quả.
Easter Egg:
- Donald Blake là bạn trai cũ của Jane và cũng là danh tính giả mà Erik Selvig dùng để đưa Thor ra. Trong truyện tranh, Donald Blake là nhân dạng con người của Thor. Lúc b́nh thường là Donald Blake, một bác sĩ, lúc cần th́ biến thành Thor. Về sau Donald Blake bị tách ra thành một bản thể riêng.
- Hầm lưu trữ của Odin (đă nói trong các bài đầu)
- Lần đầu tiên ta được thấy Hawkeye. Khá nhọ là anh chưa được bắn mũi tên nào.
- Erik Selvig là bạn và đồng nghiệp cũ của Bruce Banner.
Fun fact:
- Stan Lee xuất hiện trong vai một ông già cố dùng xe kéo Mjolnir lên nhưng bất thành. Theo ḿnh th́ đây là cameo Stan Lee hài nhất và troll nhất trong MCU. Stan Lee là người đưa cây búa vào truyện tranh nhưng lại không thể nhấc nó lên. Tới The One Above All cũng chưa xứng đáng với Mjolnir!
- Thor gọi Coulson là “Son of Coul”. Theo kiểu người Asgard th́ gắn tên cha vào, ví dụ như Thor Odinson, Loki Laufeyson. Ở đây Thor đă nhầm một cái họ (Coulson) thành “Con trai của Coul”. Chi tiết này phải để ư một chút th́ mới thấy cái hài của nó.
Ngoài lề: Ḿnh rất thích cái mũ mà Thor đeo khi tiến vào buổi lễ lúc đầu. Hy vọng sau này cái mũ xuất hiện lại, không lẽ làm ra cái mũ đẹp vậy mà dùng một lần rồi thôi. Trong truyện tranh th́ Thor cũng thường xuất hiện với cái mũ.

3) Câu chuyện của Hulk

Emil Blonsky (nói với tướng Ross), phim The Incredible Hulk
Bruce Banner đang ẩn thân ở Rio de Janeiro và cố gắng không biến h́nh thành Hulk. Anh có vài cuộc thảo luận qua mạng với một nhân vật tên là “Mr.Blue” (khoa học gia Samuel Sterns) để t́m cách chữa cho ḿnh. Thế nhưng một sự cố đă làm Bruce lộ diện, khiến tướng Ross dẫn quân đến bắt anh, dẫn đầu bởi tay lính đặc vụ Emil Blonsky.
Banner biến h́nh và thoát khỏi tay nhóm của Blonsky. Blonsky sau đó chấp nhận sử dụng một loại huyết thanh siêu chiến binh ḥng đương đầu với Hulk. Banner trở về đại học Culver (Mỹ) và t́m lại dữ liệu về vụ tai nạn của ḿnh, nhưng nó đă bị xóa.
Banner gặp lại người yêu Betty Ross, lúc này đang hẹn ḥ với Leonard Samson, một khoa học gia ngành tâm thần. Betty trao lại cho anh dữ liệu về vụ tai nạn mà cô ta đă cất kỹ bấy lâu nay.
Banner và Betty bị quân của tướng Ross bao vây ở đại học Culver. Một lần nữa Banner hóa thành Hulk và trốn thoát, mang theo Betty. Blonsky bị Hulk đánh găy hết xương, tưởng như đă chết, nhưng chỉ vài ngày sau th́ hắn đă hồi phục.

Emil Blonsky và Samuel Sterns, phim The Incredible Hulk
Banner tới một đại học ở New York và gặp Samuel Sterns. Sterns chế được một liều thuốc giải giúp Hulk biến lại thành người, nhưng anh ta cũng tiết lộ là ḿnh đă nhân bản máu của Banner ra số lượng lớn, nhằm đưa loài người lên một tầm cao mới. Banner đang cố thuyết phục Sterns hủy những mẫu máu th́ bị trúng đạn gây mê từ phe tướng Ross.
Trong lúc Banner bị giải đi, Blonsky tới gặp Sterns và đ̣i hắn tiêm máu của Banner cho ḿnh, bất chấp cảnh báo của Sterns. Blonsky bị biến thành một con quái vật (Abomination) và đánh ngă Stern. Một mẫu máu của Banner rơi vào đầu Sterns, làm anh ta biến dạng.
Abomination tàn phá khắp khu Harlem, buộc Ross phải cho Banner biến h́nh để chống trả. Sau một trận chiến dữ dội, Hulk đánh bại Abomination và bỏ đi.
Trong những ngày tháng lẩn trốn, Banner tập trung vào việc kiểm soát Hulk và đă gần như thành công. Truyện The Avengers Initiative ghi lại một lần biến h́nh của Banner ở biên giới Pakistan - Ấn Độ để tiêu diệt bọn cướp.
Easter Egg:
- Những cái tên Stark Industries, S.H.I.E.L.D. và Nick Fury xuất hiện thoáng qua.
- Thứ huyết thanh Blonsly tiêm vào có ghi tên tiến sĩ Reinstein (cũng chính là Abraham Erskine)

- Lou Ferrigno, người thủ vai Hulk trong loạt phim truyền h́nh, có một vai cameo (làm bảo vệ ở trường của Banner).
- Trong truyện th́ Samuel Sterns là The Leader, một siêu tội phạm, c̣n Leonard Samson là Doc Samson, một siêu anh hùng.
- Stan Lee là một ông uống phải máu Banner, dẫn đến việc Banner bị phảt hiện.
- Hiện tại th́ Mark Ruffalo đă thay cho Edward Norton trong vai Bruce Banner. Chưa rơ Liv Tyler hay nhân vật Betty Ross của cô c̣n tái xuất không. Những phim sau này chả ai nhắc tới Betty.
- Đạo diễn của The Incredible Hulk muốn để cho Samuel Sterns làm việc tại đại học Empire State (trong truyện tranh đó là trường của Spider-Man). Tất nhiên v́ bản quyền nên ông không thể.

4) Câu chuyện của S.H.I.E.L.D.

Hội đồng An ninh thế giới (nói với Nick Fury), truyện Avengers Prelude: Fury’s Big Week
Nick Fury đang chỉ đạo cuộc t́m kiếm Captain America ở Bắc Cực th́ bị Hội đồng an ninh thế giới triệu tập về. Đây là một hội đồng có lẽ là cấp tối thượng trên thế giới, nắm giữ vận mệnh toàn nhân loại.
Hội đồng yêu cầu Fury không được theo đuổi những dự án mà họ cho là hăo huyền, như việc t́m kiếm Captain America, theo dơi Banner hay dây dưa với Stark. Họ bắt ông ta phải tập trung nguồn lực vào việc nghiên cứu khối Tesseract (tức dự án Pegasus). Nhưng rồi có một tuần lễ đă thay đổi tất cả.
Một ngày nọ, khi thức dậy, Nick Fury cùng lúc nhận được các tin:
- Tony Stark sẽ chết trong 72 giờ nữa.
- Thượng nghị sĩ Stern sắp bàn với Bộ Quốc pḥng để tịch thu vũ khí Iron Man.
- Coulson báo cáo có một sự nhiễu khí quyển bất thường ở Mexico.
- Banner đă nhập cảnh vào Mỹ (sau vụ ở Rio).
Fury gạt qua chuyện của Coulson, cho người cản trở Stern, cho đặc vụ Sitwell tiếp tục theo dơi Banner, c̣n ḿnh th́ đến pḥng thí nghiệm để t́m hiểu bệnh của Stark. Những khoa học gia của S.H.I.E.L.D. không t́m ra thuốc chữa, mà chỉ có một liều thuốc để giảm nhẹ triệu chứng.

Lúc này th́ Black Widow gọi tới để báo cáo về vụ ẩu đả giữa Stark và Rhodey trong bữa sinh nhật. Fury cùng Black Widow đến gặp Stark và cho anh ta liều thuốc giảm triệu chứng. Fury giao lại cho Stark đống đồ của Howard Stark rồi cử Coulson theo dơi.
Nhóm của Coulson nhận thấy hiện tượng nhiễu ngày càng quái lạ và có thể đă mở ra cầu Einstein-Rosen, tức cầu nối giữa các thế giới. Nhận thấy sự cấp bách của t́nh h́nh, Fury cử Coulson tới New Mexico để điều tra. Trên đường đi, Coulson hạ một bọn cướp vặt (trong phim ngắn A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer).
Black Widow được giao nhiệm vụ giám sát Stark, và cô đă góp phần không nhỏ giúp Stark chiến thắng Ivan Vanko trong trận chiến tối đó tại Stark Expo. Cô cũng kịp tải hết dữ liệu về các nghiên cứu của Hammer trước khi cảnh sát ập tới đây.

Fury phái thêm Hawkeye và đặc vụ Sitwell tới giúp Coulson. Như ta đă biết, Coulson đă t́m được cây búa và lập căn cứ nghiên cứu quanh đó, rồi xảy ra chuyện Thor lao vào nhưng không nâng được Mjolnir.
Black Widow vừa trở về sau vụ Iron Man th́ được phái tới đại học Culver, nơi cô chứng kiến cảnh Hulk đấu với quân của tướng Ross. Widow không làm được ǵ trong t́nh huống hỗn loạn này.
Lúc này ở New Mexico, con Destroyer đă tới Trái đất, hạ các đặc vụ S.H.I.E.L.D. trước khi tiến vào thị trấn kiếm Thor. Hawkeye được điều tới, nhưng khi anh tới th́ Thor đă xử lư xong. S.H.I.E.L.D. mang con Destroyer về.

Fury cử Black Widow tới Harlem để cứu Banner. Cô không tới kịp lúc nhưng cũng kịp khống chế tên Samuel Sterns, lúc này đă điên loạn sau khi trúng máu của Banner.
Khi Black Widow trở về, Nick Fury có cuộc họp với Hội đồng an ninh thế giới. Nick Fury kể lại một tuần lễ bận rộn của ḿnh vừa qua. Nhận ra thế giới không đơn giản như họ nghĩ và tầm quan trọng trong những dự án của Nick Fury, Hội đồng quyết định tăng vốn cho ông, giúp ông có thể vừa nghiên cứu Tesseract, vừa theo đuổi các dự án của ḿnh.

Truyện ngắn Black Widow Strikes kể về một câu chuyện xảy ra sau sự kiện Iron Man 2 và trước The Avengers, và chỉ tập trung hoàn toàn vào Black Widow.
Một công nghệ Stark đă bị mất tích, và Natasha tới Nga để t́m lại. Cô tiếp cận đầu mối là Mikhail Fjodorov, một tay kinh doanh vũ khí trái phép. Natasha đă gần thành công th́ bất ngờ Fjodorov bị ám sát bởi một người phụ nữ bí ẩn.
Sau đó người phụ nữ này chủ động cho Natasha liên lạc với ḿnh. Ả xưng tên Sofia, nguyên là một cô gái từng chứng kiến sự lạnh lùng, thiện nghệ, giết người không gớm tay của Natasha (trước khi vào S.H.I.E.L.D.), và muốn học theo điều đó. Natasha tới Sochi và bị Sofia ám hại trên sân băng, may nhờ Coulson cứu thoát. Cô lên tàu của đại tướng Starodoub và lấy được thứ cần t́m, nguyên là một USB chứa đầy những ḍng mă. Natasha kịp chép nội dung vào điện thoại của cô trước khi Sofia xuất hiện và cướp lấy chiếc USB.
“Thật mạnh mẽ, thật hùng mạnh. Ta chỉ muốn được như ngươi thôi. Nhưng giờ ta đă thấy ngươi… yếu đuối, ḷng đầy hối hận.”

Sofia tưởng ḿnh đă thắng, nhưng điều cô ta không ngờ là Natasha đă lén tải chương tŕnh định vị vào chiếc USB trong lúc chép dữ liệu.
Bộ mă trong chiếc USB hóa ra là một phần mềm để xác định mục tiêu cho tên lửa Jericho. Nguyên là trước đây Justin Hammer cũng học theo Stark, lén làm tên lửa Jericho, nhưng tên lửa không hoạt động được do thiếu phần mềm này. Sau khi Hammer bị bắt, bọn khủng bố đă mua lại từ chợ đen các bộ phận tên lửa của Hammer, nhưng chúng phải chờ tới khi có phần mềm để vận hành.
Những kẻ đứng sau vụ này không ai khác chính là bọn Ten Rings, và chúng đang âm mưu dùng tên lửa Jericho để khủng bố. Lần theo dấu vết, Natasha t́m tới băi phóng tên lửa và thay đổi mục tiêu của nó, tấn công vào chính căn cứ của Ten Rings. Trong trận quyết chiến cuối cùng giữa Natasha và Sofia, Sofia bị chết do sức nổ khi tên lửa phóng lên.

Trong lúc nghiên cứu khối Tesseract cho S.H.I.E.L.D, Erik bí mật thiết lập một cánh cổng giúp Loki tới Trái đất. Một năm sau, Frigga, hoàng hậu của Asgard, bằng thần giao cách cảm biết rằng Loki vẫn c̣n sống.

Trong tập truyện này, ta được xem một số đánh giá sơ bộ về các thành viên mà Fury định chiêu mộ, gồm Captain America, Iron Man, Thor và Hulk.

T́nh h́nh khẩn cấp khiến Nick Fury phải khởi động dự án Avengers. Nick Fury liên lạc với Cap, Black Widow đi t́m Bruce Banner, c̣n Phil Coulson tới gặp Tony Stark. Cap và Bruce Banner là những người tới tàu bay S.H.I.E.L.D. đầu tiên. Banner được giao nhiệm vụ lần theo năng lượng gamma để t́m khối Tesseract. Trước đó Coulson cũng đă nhanh chóng đưa Jane Foster, người yêu của Thor, tới ẩn náu tại Tromso, Na Uy.
Lúc này ở Asgard, Heimdall đă nh́n thấy Loki ở Midgard. Việc này buộc Odin phải sử dụng năng lượng đen để đưa Thor xuống Trái đất. Cú dịch chuyển này làm cả hai đếu kiệt sức.

4) Bất đồng

S.H.I.E.L.D. nhanh chóng định vị được Loki. Hắn đang ở Đức và đánh cướp iridium, một chất cần thiết để giúp cảnh cổng ổn định. Loki sau đó để cho Cap và Iron Man bắt ḿnh, nhưng Hawkeye đă thoát và mang iridium về cho Erik Selvig.

Thế nhưng lúc bấy giờ, mọi người đều đang mất tập trung v́ c̣n bận tranh căi với nhau. Stark hack vào dữ liệu của S.H.I.E.L.D. và thấy Fury đă dùng khối Tesseract để chế tạo những vũ khí, chứ chẳng phải mục đích ḥa b́nh như ông ta nói. Cap t́m thấy những vũ khí này và cũng bắt đầu chất vấn Fury. Thor th́ khinh thường loài người nhỏ mọn, c̣n Bruce Banner luôn nghĩ rằng S.H.I.E.L.D. chỉ đối xử với ḿnh như một con quái vật. Giữa Tony Stark và Steve Rogers cũng có đầy mâu thuẫn.

5) Trận chiến trên tàu bay
“Đó là ư tưởng tập hợp một nhóm những người phi thường… để xem họ có thể phối hợp cùng nhau khi chúng tôi cần họ không, để đánh trận chiến mà chúng tôi không thể.”

Điều mọi người không ngờ tới là Hawkeye đă dẫn một đội đặc nhiệm xâm nhập vào tàu bay. Anh ta làm hỏng một động cơ, gây ra một vụ nổ khiến Banner hóa Hulk và bắt đầu rượt đuổi Black Widow.
Thor xuất hiện và cầm chân Hulk, trong lúc Iron Man và Captain America cố giữ cho động cơ c̣n lại hoạt động. Hulk lao ra đánh một chiếc máy bay và rớt xuống đất. Thor tới buồng giam giữ th́ bị Loki lừa nên lọt vào trong buồng giam. Đặc vụ Coulson xuất hiện định ngăn Loki, nhưng bị Loki đâm gục. Loki thả buồng giam Thor xuống mặt đất, nhưng Thor sống sót sau cú rơi.
Lúc này Black Widow đă đánh gục Hawkeye, làm anh ta hổi tỉnh tâm trí, c̣n Cap và Iron Man cũng kịp cứu tàu khỏi rơi. Fury dùng cái chết (giả) của Coulson để khích lệ Stark và Rogers. Stark phát hiện ra Loki định dùng chính Stark Tower của anh làm nơi vận hành cánh cổng Tesseract.

- Nhóm Avengers. Những anh hùng mạnh mẽ nhất Trái đất.
Loki và Tony Stark, phim The Avengers
Tony Stark trở về Stark Tower và bắn vào Tesseract nhưng không phá hủy được nó, tuy nhiên anh đă tạo một vụ nổ nhỏ làm tiến sĩ Erik Selvig hồi tỉnh. Sau đó Stark đối mặt với Loki và bị hắn ném khỏi cửa sổ, nhưng cũng kịp khởi động bộ giáp Mark VII để mặc vào. Cánh cổng lúc này đă mở, Stark gọi War Machine đến tham chiến, nhưng Rhodey đang bận chiến đấu với một bọn Ten Rings ở Hồng Kông (xem truyện Iron Man 3 Prelude).
Khi này Cap, Hawkeye, Black Widow và Thor cũng đă tới. Thor định bắt Loki nhưng bị hắn đâm bị thương. Bruce Banner cũng xuất hiện và hóa thành Hulk, tiêu diệt một chiếc Leviathan (tàu bay quái vật khổng lồ của Chitauri). Cap tổ chức đội h́nh và cả sáu người quyết chiến với đạo quân Chitauri. Hulk đập cho Loki nằm bất động. Black Widow tới chỗ đặt thiết bị và tiến sĩ Selvig (đă tỉnh) nói rằng có thể dùng cây trượng của Loki để ngắt cánh cổng.

7) Thắng lợi
“Loài người rất cứng đầu nên không thể bị cai trị. Đối đầu với chúng… là quyến rũ Tử thần.”
The Other (nói với Thanos), phim The Avengers
Lúc này th́ Hội đồng An ninh thế giới hạ lệnh phóng tên lửa hạt nhân vào Manhattan. Iron Man ôm quả tên lửa bay qua cánh cổng để thả vào tàu mẹ của Chitauri, làm tất cả bọn chúng ngưng hoạt động. Anh trở về Trái đất vừa kịp lúc Black Widow đóng cánh cổng lại. Loki bị cả nhóm bắt giữ.
Theo gợi ư của Stark, cả nhóm vào ăn món shawarma. Rhodey bây giờ mới tới New York và gặp cả bọn. Câu chuyện về Rhodey được kể trong cuốn Iron Man 3 Prelude.
Sự anh dũng và phi thường của nhóm Avengers giờ đây đă được cả thế giới biết đến. Mọi người dân hiểu rằng thế giới rộng lớn hơn rất nhiều so với những ǵ họ biết. Mặc dù vậy, cũng có nhiều ư kiến quan ngại về sự xuất hiện của những thế lực siêu năng, và nghi ngờ về những ǵ mà chính phủ c̣n che giấu họ bấy lâu nay.
Ở ngoài vũ trụ, The Other báo cáo lại chiến bại ở Trái đất cho Thanos.

8) Kết cục
“Từ cái thuở của Bor và trước Người là Buri, chúng ta đă bảo vệ chín cơi giới… Không có ánh sáng của chúng ta, bóng tối lan tràn. Nhưng thời khắc của bóng tối đă chấm dứt. Asgard đă trở lại.”
Thor, truyện Thor: The Dark World Prelude
Thor mau chóng đưa Loki cùng Tesseract về Asgard mà không đến gặp Jane Foster. Cô đau khổ nghĩ rằng Thor đă quên ḿnh, nhưng thật ra Thor có lư do mới gấp rút quay về. Với sức mạnh của Tesseract, cầu Bifrost đă được hồi phục, và Thor nhanh chóng đưa quân tới hỗ trợ các cơi giới đă thiếu vắng sự bảo vệ của Asgard quá lâu. Frigga cầu xin cho Loki nên hắn được tha mạng, nhưng bị giam vào ngục tối.
Stark sửa chữa lại Stark Tower và bảo với Rhodey rằng ḿnh cần phải có sự pḥng bị tốt hơn trong tương lai. Stark bắt đầu chế tạo hàng loạt bộ giáp với công dụng khác nhau.
Phim ngắn Item 47 kể về một cặp đôi t́m thấy một vũ khí của bọn Chitauri bỏ lại và ṃ được cách sử dụng nó, đem đi cướp ngân hàng. Đặc vụ Sitwell bắt được cả hai và đưa về làm đặc vụ S.H.I.E.L.D.
Fun fact và Easter Egg:
- Tony Stark mặc áo có chữ Sabbath trên tàu bay. Sabbath là ban nhạc nổi tiếng với bài Iron Man.
- Loài Chitauri thực ra là từ Ultimate Universe của Marvel, khjông phải từ vũ trụ gốc (Earth 616)
- Life Model Decoy: khi Coulson tới gặp Stark. Stark vờ như ḿnh là một robot thế thân (Life Model Decoy). Trong truyện, đây là thứ mà các đặc vụ S.H.I.E.L.D. hay dùng để thoát thân.
- Khi Coulson rời khỏi Stark Tower, để lại một đống hồ sơ, trong đó có Dự án 42. Trong truyện, Dự án 42 hoặc Nhà tù 42 là nơi nhóm Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic giam giữ các anh hùng kháng chiến trong Civil War (cái này siêu nhỏ, xem phim đúng là không thấy nổi).
- Có hai con quạ xuất hiện lúc Thor chất vấn Loki ở giữa phim. Hai con quạ vốn là Huginn và Munnin giúp Odin theo dơi chuyện ở chín cơi giới (trong phim không xác nhận hai con quạ là của Odin).
- Tiếng của Hulk là từ Lou Ferrigno, người đóng Hulk trong phim truyền h́nh trước đây.
- Lúc Bruce Banner/Hulk rớt xuống đất, một ông già đến hỏi: “Are you alien?”. Diễn viên đóng phim này là Harry Dean Stanton, từng đóng phim Alien.
- Tony Stark nhại giọng tiếng Anh cổ kiểu Shakespeare khi gặp Thor (Doth Mother know you wear-eth her drapes?). Đây chính là kiểu dùng trong comics Thor, nhưng khi vào phim đă đổi lại cho người Asgard nói tiếng Anh b́nh thường.
- Trả lời cho một câu hỏi hay gặp: “Tại sao Banner biết t́m đến New York?”. Thực ra trước khi Hawkeye tấn công, Banner đă định vị được Tesseract và kịp nh́n thấy vị trí, trước khi thiết bị của anh bị nổ.
- Trả lời cho một câu hỏi khác: "Tại sao Cap không có micro, dây nghe mà vẫn liên lạc được?". Mời xem Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. và Black Widow Strikes.
- Trả lời cho một câu hỏi khác: "Tại sao Thor không gọi sét liên tục để đánh mà chỉ gọi một lần?". V́ trước đó Thor đă bị Loki đâm (có thể băng thứ có phép thuật) nên bị yếu.
- Một trong những tấm thẻ sưu tầm của Coulson được Fury quăng ra để khích lệ Cap chính là b́a truyện Captain America #1 ngoài đời.
- Các bộ giáp mà Iron Man dùng là Mark VI và Mark VII.
- Stan Lee xuất hiện trong vai một ông lăo hay tin về Avengers và bảo: “Siêu anh hùng ở New York? Thôi đi.” Một cảnh (đă bị cắt) khác của Stan Lee là khích lệ Steve Rogers tán tỉnh cô bồi bàn.
- Tháp Stark rớt hết chữ, c̣n mỗi chữ A => Avengers Tower (giống truyện tranh)
- The Other nói với Thanos: “Đối mặt với chúng là quyến rũ Tử thần”. Trong truyện tranh, Thanos yêu Mistress Death, hiện thân của cái chết. Hắn giết nửa vũ trụ để bày tỏ t́nh yêu với nàng
B́nh luận: Khá nhiều các đoạn cắt cảnh của The Avengers diễn ra theo kiểu nối kết. Sau đây là ba ví dụ:
- Ở cảnh trước, Nick Fury nói với Hội đồng: “Ta cần những chiến binh”. Ngay sau là cảnh Cap, Siêu chiến binh.
- Ở cảnh trước, Cap nói: “Đáng lẽ các ông nên để nó (Tesseract) lại đáy biển.” Ngay sau là cảnh Iron Man đang làm việc dưới đáy biển.
- Ở cảnh trước, Thor đang đứng suy ngẫm. Có giọng nói: “Anh rơi từ trên trời xuống.” rồi chuyển sang cảnh ông già nói chuyện với Banner (mới rớt xuống). Thực ra Thor cũng là người rơi từ trên trời xuống.
