Magic Mike xoay quanh việc vũ công thoát y nhà nghề Mike Matingano dẫn dắt Kid (Alex Pettyfer), một “lính mới”, bước vào nghề. Mike dạy cho Kid cách làm sao để chiều ḷng các quư cô và kiếm tiền một cách dễ dàng.
Channing cũng tiết lộ rằng anh không thích thoát y trước mặt nhiều người: “Tôi không bao giờ muốn cởi quần áo khi đứng trên sân khấu. Mặc dù khán giả la hét tên bạn và coi bạn như một ngôi sao nhạc rock, nhưng sự thực th́ tôi thấy ḿnh giống như một gă ngốc trong những bộ trang phục cũng ngốc nghếch không kém”.
Nói về bộ phim, Channing Tatum tiết lộ anh rất ấn tượng khi làm việc với bạn diễn Joe Manganiello. Anh trêu đùa: “Joe thực sự là thỏi nam châm của phim. Tôi nghĩ rằng ngay cả những chàng trai ‘chuẩn men’ cũng sẽ rất ṭ ṃ trước những màn tŕnh diễn của anh ấy”.
