Với những thông điệp nhẹ nhàng và đầy ư nghĩa về t́nh cảm gia đ́nh, cùng với sự góp mặt của dàn ngôi sao nổi tiếng như Tyler Perry, Eugene Levy, Denise Richards… Siêu điệp viên bé bự (Madea’s Witness Protection) đă có khởi đầu tốt đẹp trên bảng xếp hạng doanh thu ở khu vực Mỹ cuối tuần qua.
Cùng con số ấn tượng 26,4 triệu USD sau 3 ngày đầu công chiếu (29/6 – 1/7/2012), Siêu điệp viên bé bự (Madea’s Witness Protection) đă qua mặt phim hoạt h́nh ăn khách Madagascar 3: Thần tượng châu Âu và trở thành bộ phim có doanh thu cao thứ tư tại khu vực Bắc Mỹ. Điều này cho thấy sức hút của series phim về nhân vật Madea với h́nh ảnh sự dí dỏm, đanh đá, tốt bụng chưa bao giờ suy giảm!
Bên cạnh những ư kiến ủng hộ, Siêu điệp viên bé bự (Madea’s Witness Protection) cũng “đụng phải” một vài ư kiến trái chiều khi một số khán giả cho rằng bộ phim vẫn chưa thoát ra khỏi mô – tuyp quen thuộc vốn có và Tyler Perry đang tái hiện chính ḿnh trong một nhân vật cần phải “nghỉ hưu” như Madea. Nói về điều này, đạo diễn kiêm diễn viên chính Tyler Perry cho biết: “Tôi muốn nghe tiếng cười sảng khoái của khán giả. Đó là những ǵ thật sự quan trọng với tôi trong bộ phim này. Có rất nhiều khán giả vào rạp xem phim và mong muốn ra về với sự nhẹ nhơm, thoải mái. Nếu tôi có thể làm điều đó, tại sao tôi không làm? Khi nào khán giả không c̣n yêu mến nhân vật Madea th́ tôi sẽ không làm phim về Madea nữa”.
Với phát biểu của Đạo diễn Tyler Perry và kết quả khả quan từ doanh thu pḥng vé trong tuần đầu tiên cho thấy rất nhiều khán giả vẫn dành sự ưu ái tuyệt đối cho Madea; cũng như những tiếng cười hóm hỉnh, nhẹ nhàng nhưng sâu sắc mà Madea mang lại.
