Nếu tôi được hỏi nước nào làm phim truyền hình hay nhất thì không ngần ngại trả lời ngay đó là nước Mỹ, với những phim với các tình tiết thông minh, gay cấn, hồi hộp và vô cùng cuốn hút như Lost, PB... nhưng sau khi xem xong ROME thì tôi đánh giá rằng đây là phim truyền hình hay nhất mà tôi từng xem.
Season 1 đưa chúng ta đến khoảng thời gian trước công nguyên, khi mà quyền lực của Ceasar đang gia tăng và từ xứ Gaul, ông đã trở về Rome thực hiện dần kế hoạch biến La Mã với chế độ cộng hòa thành đế chế La Mã đến khi ông bị ám sát bởi một nhóm quý tộc âm mưu khôi phục lại chế độ cộng hòa.
Season 2 cho chúng ta thấy sự biến chuyển của Octavian - con nuôi của Ceasar thành một trong những hoàng đế bạo ngược nhất trong lịch sử.
